Guidelines For Organizations Working With American Express Through The Community Corps Program

American Express ("Amex") is honored to participate in the Community Corps program. We are committed to providing pro bono services to participating nonprofits and community technology organizations, and we strive to ensure that recipients of our pro bono services receive the same level of professional service that we provide to our customers and partners.

You, the Client, understand and agree that when you are working with volunteers from American Express on an information technology project that you submitted to the Community Corps program, the following guidelines will apply:

  • Amex volunteers remain employees of Amex, and do not become employees of your organization.
  • You may not use Amex's name, artwork, designs, trade names, trademarks or service marks in any of your advertisements, publicity or press releases, public announcements, marketing materials, promotions, and/or client lists.
  • Amex volunteers are providing professional services that leverage their individual skills. You agree to releases and forever discharges and holds harmless Amex, its employees and their successors and assigns from any and all liability, claims, and demands of whatever kind or nature, either in law or in equity, which arise or may arise from an Amex volunteer's services provided to your project.
  • If you provide to an Amex volunteer any of your software, artwork, copyrighted material or trademarks for use in a project, you agree to allow Amex to use those materials in connection with your project.
  • When your project is completed, the Amex volunteer will return any hard copy materials that you provided. All prep materials purchased or created for use in the Project by an Amex volunteer remain the property of Amex.
  • The Projects should be completed by the date indicated in the listing for that Community Corps project. If additional services are needed please contact concierge@thecommunitycorps.org to submit this new statement of work through the NPower Community Corps project submission process.
  • An Amex volunteer's work on your project does not guarantee any financial support will be provided to you by Amex.
  • Amex may terminate the project at any time by provided you written notice, without obligation or penalty of any kind.
  • Violating any of these guidelines can result in Amex terminating an Amex volunteer's participation in your project.
  • If you have any questions regarding the services provided by an Amex volunteer for your Project, please send an email to concierge@thecommunitycorps.org.

Please carefully review these guidelines. When ready, click the "Accept" button to confirm you have reviewed, met, and agree to follow these guidelines.
